Bank of the West Moves to Intervoice Dedicated Hosted Services for Compelling ROI
Guaranteed Service Level Agreement, Flexible Deployment, Longevity in Complying with Banking Security Requirements Are Intervoice Strengths
DALLAS, October 31, 2007 -Intervoice, Inc. (NASDAQ: INTV) today announced that Bank of the West, a full-service commercial bank serving the personal and business needs of customers in 19 states with more than 700 retail and commercial locations, has chosen to migrate its entire voice automation system to Intervoice Dedicated Hosted Services. The move to a hosted environment frees Bank of the West from having to maintain its own voice automation infrastructure, yet it is still able to continue to develop its own banking applications to run on the Intervoice hosted platform. This contract is valued at approximately $1.1M over 36 months. Today Intervoice has more than 60 hosted services customers in the United States. Hosted services represented approximately 10 percent of the Company's revenue in its last fiscal year.
"At Bank of the West, we consider our ability to provide personalized customer service a strong asset. So the decision to let someone else host our voice automation technology was something we really had to think about," said James Hanna, EVP and Chief Technology Officer, Bank of the West. "Then we learned that Intervoice is also focused on ensuring that its customers have the ability to provide the best personalized customer service available and we would be able to still build our own application on their platform. They explained to us an incredibly compelling ROI, and it became a very easy decision to go with Intervoice."
Hanna also commented that knowing that Intervoice hosts almost 100 million minutes per month for financial services companies and that Intervoice has been working with financial service companies for more than 23 years were factors that also contributed to Bank of the West's decision. "Intervoice clearly has more experience in working with and complying with the strict banking security requirements than any other voice automation vendor in the industry," he added.
Bank of the West will transfer all monitoring and hosting authority of its voice automation technology to Intervoice in two locations: Fargo, North Dakota and Omaha, Nebraska. Intervoice will expand the number of managed ports as the company grows.
"Bank of the West fits the profile of the financial services institutions we are now seeing who are choosing to move to a hosted environment," explained Mark Harris, senior vice president, global services and America's operations, Intervoice. "These are companies that require not only the flexibility to deploy their own applications in an environment that will grow with them but also demand a compelling ROI. And they need to know that the hosted partner they've chosen has experience in their vertical industry that they can trust."
Like Bank of the West, Intervoice hosted services' customers can select the option that's best suited to their specific deployment requirements, mandated levels of service, predictability of call volume and capacity requirements and rely on the fact that the privacy and security of a customers' sensitive information are maintained.
